Life-Path Viet-Nam
Corporate training and School coursesThe journey continued with two projects in HaNoi, Viet-Nam in February-March 2011. The first was with Raffles International. It was also the first Equilitri corporate training, tailored for the Raffles’ team. Being a corporate training, it focused on the professional development side of Equilitri, with time management, goal-setting, effective communication at its core.
A quite big and welcome surprise for the participants was the use of non-formal education methods, as this was both a highly formal culture and a corporate environment.
A second project in Viet-Nam was hosted by the Le Quy Don School of HaNoi. A completely different approach and target group: this time, children between 14 and 18 years. Also a first, as Equilitri had never been piloted with such young participants. A third project in Viet-Nam was planned with a large student organisation, but unfortunately failed to materialise. I would like to thank Alex Quah, Lena Bucatariu and Mien Hoang for helping these projects turn into reality.
And, as usual, should you want to read more, about the culture, here are a few blog posts:
Home is where your heart is
Malacca, MalaysiaThere is no Self in Buddhism
Changi, Singapore ” – Are you really gonna eat that? |

Raffles International is the largest private education group in Asia-Pacific (4 universities and 33 colleges across 13 countries). It has a specific organisational culture, and one of the challenges and worries was that Equilitri is based on European values, and it might not be well suited to this culture. This fear turned out to be wrong, as the core values are cross-cultural by their nature.
