Le Refuge Cambodia

Le Refuge is an actual refuge in the middle of the Cambodian jungle (what’s left of it). It hosts 180 children with no access to education, health and other services, a legacy of the Khmer Rouge regime. It is run by two very dedicated men, Saran and Somet, who suffered dramatically during the regime – their entire families brutally murdered and half a life-time of political refuge abroad. The focus of this project was to offer them tools to develop their dream of helping these children and develop Le Refuge. It was not an Equilitri project as such, rather a project where Equilitri was for the first time used for coaching and the place where the Triquetra was born.Triquetra - icon 128x128

Triquetra is the logo of Equilitri and it symbolizes exactly what it transmits as an image: balance (or equilibrium) and interdependence of all aspects of life, continuity and renewal, and the number 3. More than 10 variants of the logo were drawn originally, the final one being chosen with the help of many people from all around the globe. They were asked to choose which one best transmits the fundamental values of Equilitri and what they can associate it with.

The organizing team included Saran Meas (KH), Iuliana Dinu (RO), Frederic Rossi (FR).

Cambodia itself is one of the most beautiful and wild places on Earth. For the curious, a few travellogue posts can be found here:
