Equilitri Romania

After a long journey through Asia, Equilitri was introduced in Europe through a series of pilot training courses and workshops on various topics for several different target groups. The European Training Wave, the 2nd Phase of the Equilitri Strategy, started in Romania with a training course that borrowed the name of the personal development method itself. EquiliTRI was a course for youth workers from organisations active in the field of non-formal education and youth projects. The target group was formed of 18 youth workers (6 promoters from 6 countries). The project took place in Romania, in Sarata Monteoru in March 2012, with European Union funding. Equilitri Romania was the first full-length training course using the method. During the 9 days, the participants went through using the method and discovering how it can function in a non-governmental organisation environment, how it can help people improve their motivation, efficiency, communication, team-work, goal-setting skills. This project’s goal was to develop the capacity of the promoting organisations to motivate and improve their volunteers through Personal and Professional Development. The course also introduced a new method named Alternative Virtual Reality, a method based on recent ICT developments which stimulates participation, involvement and provides an alternative method of evaluation. The project offered the participants advanced HR tools for professional and personal development and key competencies in four major areas: time management, leadership and followship, planning and organizing, organisational communication skills.

The trainers were Teolin, from Romania, the author of the method, and Darko, from Macedonia.
